Executive Summary
Colgate-Palmolive recall (#D-402-2) of 19,293 cases of Softsoap Rainforest Series antibacterial liquid soap (7.5 oz bottles) announced by FDA in Sept. 18 Enforcement Report. Products contained undeclared ingredients - aloe vera, fragrance, glycerin and hydrolyzed silk - as a result of cross-contamination with another soap product. Class III recall (unlikely to cause adverse health effects) initiated by letters from firm beginning on July 2. Separately, Class II (may cause temporary or reversible adverse effects) recall of Aura Cacia Moisturizing Shampoo by Frontier Natural Brands initiated due to contamination with Enterobacter gergoviae.
