Executive Summary
Fragrance Foundation announces March 17 the top 10 finalists in each of eight categories for the 2009 Fragrance of the Year Fifi Award. Women's Luxe contenders include Burberry The Beat (Procter & Gamble), Harajuku Lovers fragrances (Coty), Sensuous (Estee Lauder) and Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere, while Men's Luxe nominees include Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme (P&G), I Am King - Sean John and Dior Homme Sport (Christian Dior). Six fragrances have been nominated in the Women's Popular Appeal category, including Celine Dion Sensational (Coty), American Beauty Beloved (BeautyBank) and Bijan VIP Woman (Five Star Fragrance Company). Men's Popular Appeal has four entrants: Bijan VIP Men (Five Star), McGraw by Tim McGraw (Coty), Mustang Blue for Men (Estee Lauder) and Samba Fresh Man (The Perfumer's Workshop International). Favorite scents in the Unique Boutique, Women's Nouveau Niche, Men's Nouveau Niche, and Women's Private Label/Direct Sell categories are also announced. Final five finalists in each of the award categories will be chosen at the FiFi Finalists Breakfast April 24, at which nominees for best packaging, best media campaign and bath and body line awards will be unveiled
