Health Canada cosmetics labeling guide

Canadian regulatory authorities publish a guide to cosmetic ingredient labeling, announced June 22. Available on Health Canada's Web site, guide is intended to clarify what Canadian law requires of companies, providing examples of correct ingredient labels and tips to verify proper International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) labeling. Specific instructions are offered for testers, hotel amenities and other small containers. Guide also specifies how to identify parfum and fragrance, among other points.
