OEHHA Starts Prop 65 Rulemaking To Update Max Allowable Lead Level

Executive Summary

In response to a petition from the Center for Environmental Health, California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment says it will initiate the rulemaking process to update the maximum allowable dose level for lead in products subject to Proposition 65 warning requirements. With a hearing scheduled for Oct. 9, Tucker Ellis attorney Ronie Schmelz says it's critical that industry members work together to make their voices heard.
